Summary:
As a Business Development Manager (BDM), your primary focus is on generating new business development and cultivating growth opportunities within existing accounts. This position is required to meet sales quotas, foster positive customer relations, and increase company revenue and profitability.

Responsibilities include: 
  • Support a positive customer experience by proactively managing relationships with customers, serving as the key point of contact, from initial lead outreach to when a purchase is ultimately made, and managing projects from start to finish. 
  • Prospecting and targeting the development of new opportunities focused on selling machined parts, sheet, tube, rod, and industrial plastics machining solutions and services. 
  • Travel to assigned territories to meet with potential and current customers, negotiate sales contracts, and educate clients about new products, updates, and features. 
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Participate in virtual & on-site educational opportunities with the Austin Branch team to study new products & leverage skill growth.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills that ensure positive and proactive interactions.
  • Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales. Recommend marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic.

Requirements
  • Plastics or similar industry experience 5 years Required
  • Technical aptitude required; background in part fabrication preferred
  • Excellent Communication skills: verbal, written & presentation
  • Proficient in Office 365, Word, PowerPoint & Excel
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, engineering, or similar field preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent sitting, driving, and walking, occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
