Purpose of Job: This position may be responsible for successful training, management, and transition of newly acquired distributorships. May serve in multiple capacities while transitioning a distributorship or supporting new team member and manager training. This could include any job role within the Distributorship and may also entail auditing distributors for best practices. Job Components: Accountable for the P&L and budget performance for the operations of newly acquired distributorships. Responsible for training Distributorship personnel in all areas of operations, including all warehouse, office, and route management functions. Review the DST Assessment Form on a regular (minimum monthly) basis to establish operational and training plans needed to meet the objectives outlined. Work with the Distributor Support Lead to schedule travel to assigned Distributorships. When needed, to perform in any role within the operation as directed by the DSL. Identifying best practices and processes, building out training and documentation for use in all of our operations. Review, monitor and analyze weekly operational scorecards and monthly financials to identify variances to FY financial plan and design and implement action plans to address deficiencies. Communicate Enterprise initiatives, IOT goals and Regional objectives to operation staff to ensure clarity and alignment. Attend and provide input into DST weekly scheduled meetings. Provide on-going feedback for continuous process improvement. Support Enterprise initiatives from other business units as well as IOT. Provide remote support to IOT and Independent distributorships as needed to support enterprise changes. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years proven managerial experience is required Previous experience in a Warehouse or Distribution environment a plus Computer skills including Word and Excel preferred Knowledge of battery or automotive systems a must Fosters teamwork – Interest, skill and success in getting groups to learn to work together cooperatively. Initiative – Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked to or required by the situation. Battery business knowledge Scope Data: Contacts are internal – (Operation Directors. Market General Managers, ACES, NAC, HO staff) and external (Current Independent Distributors, Dealers and Customers). This position operates with high degree of relational interaction and minimal supervision. Must build and maintain relationships across Enterprise associated with source data of all types. Work Environment: Must be willing to travel extensively (75%), sometimes with minimal notice. Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, talk and hear, stand and walk. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 50 lbs. May be exposed to battery warehouse conditions such as exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Prolonged use of personal computer & telephone. Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
