What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse/Driver position at Interstate Batteries of Central Louisiana?
Purpose of Job
Warehouse worker responsibilities include providing a well-stocked & organized warehouse, assisting customers with their battery needs and assisting Route Sales Managers.
Goal is to train in the warehouse at first and then train as a backup route delivery driver.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload batteries
- Restock batteries
- Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations
- Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
- Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
- Accurately complete reports and claims
- Operate a forklift
- Install batteries in customer’s vehicles
- Deliver hot shot orders
Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 25 years old with driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Heavy lifting (50 pounds)
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Pass a drug test
Hiring Requirements:
Background check, reference check, driving record check and pre-employment drug screening will be performed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $600.00 - $800.00 per week
