Interstate Batteries CDL Local Route Delivery Driver

Our growing company is looking for a Route Driver to delivery excellent service to our commercial customers on a dedicated commercial route!

We are searching for a professional individual who wants to learn and grow in our company by helping us deliver excellent customer service. The candidate would take over an existing commercial delivery route where they would deliver batteries to existing commercial customers while also managing those customers inventories and providing excellent customer service.  A class B CDL is not required for the job, but the candidate would need to obtain a Class B CDL permit upon hiring and we would need to ultimately put the candidate through a class c cdl course to obtain their license. Class b not required upon hiring, we will pay for the right candidate to get the CDL.

We are willing to provide and pay for class b cdl training for the right candidate, so a cdl is not required to attain this job, but it will be requirement of the job to obtain the class b cdl once employed.

The Job: Our goal is provide the best customer service to our customers, the job will include servicing commercial customer's racks, filling them with batteries they have used since they were last seen, keeping their stock of batteries fresh, and taking the old batteries back in exchange for the batteries they have sold.  We consider our route drivers to be "route managers" because they are the face of the company to the customer.

Pay - this is an existing route, expected base pay commission is approximately 70,000, but we do not cap commissions, so it could grow from there!

Essential Criteria: Customer service oriented. Valid Clean Indiana Drivers License. Professional. Good communication ability. Great team player. Highly Self Motivated

Training:  We will train the candidate, riding along and showing how to properly service the customers and making the candidate familiar with the customers to make sure the candidate can be successful in the role, because we want to be successful as a team once the candidate is ready to operate the route solo.  

No Nights, No Weekends
We are open M-F 6:30A - 6:00P most route drivers work 6:30AM till approximately 4:30 or 5:00 PM
