Job Profile Summary
Under general supervision, the Associate Chaplain develops relationships with Team Members, across the business, with the goal to evangelize and disciple. This role manages all company volunteer efforts, executes women’s Bible-based trainings, provides counsel and pastoral care for female Team Members and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily availability to provide Team Member care and support.
- Sets up regularly occurring women’s Bible studies, creating material and facilitating discussion.
- Provides one-on-one discipleship relationships with female Team Members.
- Frequently meets before and after work hours to counsel or disciple female Team Members.
- Builds and designs devotional material for regularly occurring team meetings.
- Develops teaching material for Executive Leadership Team when requested.
- Stays up to date on current social issues that are impacting Team Members.
- Facilitates mentoring program for female team members.
- Provides guidance and counsel to leadership when requested, especially on topics related to Interstate’s Purpose and Values.
- Periodically makes hospital visits for Team Members and their families.
- Helps organizes monthly luncheons with ministry partners to share a devotional with Team Members.
- Helps arrange a yearly Christmas party for local ministry partners.
- Plans and coordinates international mission’s work with ministry partners.
- Provides support for all chaplain’s department activities and functions.
- Utilizes local ministry partners to provide volunteer opportunities for team building events.
- Vets all organizations that could potentially host an Interstate volunteer event.
- Demonstrates flexibility in adjusting to periodic changes in schedule due to Team Member issues and concerns.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary or comparable seminary.
- 1-5 years of counseling experience highly desired.
- Experience leading women’s discipleship and Bible Studies
- Strong spiritual life and evidence of church involvement.
- Ability to communicate clearly with strong people skills.
- Computer and typing experience very helpful.

Work Environment
- Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
