Purpose Of Job
Manage the overall governance, coordination, and evaluation of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) personnel and processes, maximizing productivity, effectiveness, and processes for various segments. Establish proper proactive controls for credit terms evaluation, extension and monitoring including trade credit insurance protection. Lead the effective use of enterprise systems including SAP to ensure all financial services are fully tested and processes are sustainable and able to meet our National Account customers, Vendors and Distributor partner expectations for accuracy and timeliness.

Purpose Of Job

Job Components
- Responsible for the leadership and governance of the financial transactions for both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for a multi-billion company with international scope.
- Manage working capital and ensure timely collection and payment for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for a high transaction environment with daily deadlines.
- Manage a large team of over forty professionals: coaching, developing, and motivating team members to high standards of efficiency and integrity.
- Interact with National Accounts, Vendors and Distributors and conduct sensitive credit, payment terms, and collections conversations.
- Manage demand fluctuations for promotional programs ensuring alignment of credit terms.
- Collaboratively lead and work with support teams and Information Technology to define, design and thoroughly test all system changes that effect the integrity of our financial transactions.
- Evaluate process flows, customer, and vendor portals on a regular basis to improve accuracy, speed, and maintain confidence in our ability to invoice, pay, and service accounts.
- Establish work standards, create KPIs, and develop objectives while designing / maintaining effective workflow and operating procedures.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and drive a speedy month end close to the subledger level.
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines with exacting attention to internal controls.
- Provide recommendations to management for placement, or release, of customer credit holds.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of team member corporate credit card reimbursements.
- Participate in month-end and year-end tasks as well as financial audits.
- Manage timely responses to inquiries from internal and external partners within the service levels of our customer service promises.
- Manage and ensure the time sensitive reconciliation of large data sets of high importance to our most valued accounts and partners, acting with precision and empathy to instill the highest confidence in our attention to their financial concerns.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other relevant fields.
- Extensive experience with ERP systems with a strong preference for demonstrated SAP experience.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a financial organization of similar scale and complexity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive people management experience.
- Previous financial month end and annual close experience at a detailed level.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a high volume, deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule when required, work well with others, and participate in a team environment.
