Job Duties:
- Operate forklift
- Drum and Tote-tank packaging and filling
- Blending operations
- Trailer Loading and Unloading (liquid bulk and packaged dry)
- Maintain safe, orderly, clean, operation of equipment and work area
- Placard trucks
- Identify areas for improvement of operations, facilities, systems, or procedures
- Ensure that all products are properly checked, sampled, labeled, stored, contaminant free, and ready to ship
- Uphold the high standards of work ethic, honesty, integrity
- Maintain positive attitude in a helpful, polite, and friendly manner
- Attend monthly safety meetings
NOTE: Although this job description is Interstate Chemical Company’s attempt at describing most functions performed by the Warehouse Personnel, there are times when management will request additional assignments to be carried out.
Requirements
Candidate must be able to work rotating shifts; 2-weeks on day shift; 2-weeks on afternoon shift: 2-weeks on midnight shift.
Must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen and physical.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working with hazardous materials and may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee maybe exposed to outdoor wet and humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration. Personal protective clothing will be required in accordance with the potential hazard and potential for exposure. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, feel, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear; and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move with mechanical more than 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus and smell.
