Pay Range : $52K-$65K annually
As a member of the General Ledger team this highly visible role provides accounting support to all levels of branch and corporate personnel relating to our Sales and Rental Departments for both Interstate Power Systems and I-State Truck Center. The Staff Accountant role requires a working knowledge of GAAP and analytical abilities. This role offers ample opportunity for professional growth and development.
Job Duties :
- Perform general ledger accounting including journal entries, month-end close activities, account analysis and reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Research and resolve reconciling items for inventory and intercompany accounts.
- Provide accounting support for product, truck, and trailer sales departments.
- Review, post, and audit sales.
- Review and audit rental contracts, book rental sales, reconciliation of inventory and rental accounts.
- Prepare and distribute associated sales reporting.
- Manage and administer vendor rebate programs.
- Assist in the month, quarter, and year end close process.
- Perform Sales and Expense Reviews.
- Assist with financial and vendor audits.
- Financial statement preparation.
- Assist with budgeting.
- Work with management to improve accounting processes and procedures.
- Train employees as necessary.
- Special projects as assigned by management.
