Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic to join our team at Interstate Companies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all types of trucks.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair engines, including Cummins, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, and Mercedes Benz engines
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
- Work with diagnostic computers to troubleshoot and repair complex issues
- Collaborate with service writers, foremen, and parts departments to ensure efficient repair processes
- Meet certification requirements and stay up-to-date with industry developments
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with diesel engines and heavy duty trucks
- Ability to work with diagnostic computers and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Physical ability to lift and work with no restrictions
