Job Summary
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will manage incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will ensure that materials, supplies, and printed products are properly received, stored, and distributed while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Unload, sort, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments to meet customer and carrier requirements.
- Process shipping documentation, including packing slips, invoices, and bills of lading.
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain an organized warehouse and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Track inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors and freight carriers to schedule deliveries and pickups.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support shipping and receiving operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures, inventory management, and freight handling.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
