The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.Key Responsibilities : Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC systemsDiagnose and repair HVAC system issuesOverhaul and start-up commercial boilers and HVAC systemsConduct preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modificationsProvide after-hours on-call service as scheduledOffer technical support to customers and fellow team membersSkills & Qualifications : Strong customer service and communication skillsAbility to lead and oversee a team of apprentices and techniciansProficiency in servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and cleaning heating and cooling equipment and related systems (e.g., boilers, forced air, hydronic, split systems, package units, make-up air and exhaust systems, controls)Skilled in using a variety of hand tools and following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair unitsEffective time management skillsAbility to document work accurately, including labor records, materials used, and resolutions in accordance with company standardsFlexibility to work overtime / weekends as neededMinimum of five (5) years of experience as a commercial HVAC technician Join us at Interstate Mechanical and take your career to the next level!
