SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst / Internal Auditor will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing the financial results of revenue recognition while ensuring the timely workflow of project billing. This role supports Business Units by ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and assessing financial health at the project level, and auditing internal processes to maintain the integrity of financial and operational documents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performance Monitoring
- Track and analyze revenue, costs and profitability for individual business unit projects
- Prepare monthly ad-hoc financial reports at a project level that identify trends and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for optimization.
- Perform variance analysis, reconciling discrepancies between projected and actual financial results.
- Ensure project accounting practices adhere to company policies and industry regulations, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Evaluate continuously and improve project control processes and reporting methodologies for greater accuracy and efficiency.

Collaboration
- Facilitate meetings to discuss project status, challenges, and solutions.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to support decision making and enhance project outcomes.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders, project teams, operations, and finance to ensure that all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the project's financial standing.

Workflow
- Ensure the proper and timely flow and documentation of financial data needed for billing and accurate revenue recognition.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong ability to analyze financial data, create detailed reports, and make informed recommendations based on findings.
- Proficiency in financial software (eg ERP systems) and advanced knowledge of Excel.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in business, accounting or finance of education and experience. At least 3-5 years’ work experience in project finance, project control, or financial analysis AND internal audit.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply analytical analysis to results.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to solve most problems independently.
