SUMMARY
Responsible to support the Vice President, General Manager in all facets of the business including direct interaction with key accounts and providing support for logistics services required by each. Manages staff’s daily activity to include but not limited to : account management, move management services and ILIST administration giving direction the operations. Assists Logistics Management Team with task completion upon request and in the Director’s absence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Establish and maintain procedures and reporting per accounting following contract guidelines.
- Establish quality scorecards per account and report those scores to the account quarterly.
- Chair quarterly scorecard meeting with all assigned accounts reviewing the scorecard and putting new processes in place to improve service.
- Monitor daily account activity to ensure quality service.
- Supervise and support the administrative staff’s completion of WMS activity, Articles Entry, Creation of work orders, Pull Sheets, Audit terminal / carrier paperwork prior to pre-bill, Pre-Bill All Shipments, and Quality scorecard reporting
- Aid warehouse by cross referencing inbound purchase orders.
- Liaison between accounts and warehouse for inventory inquiries.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Logistics Manager will supervise a staff including assisting in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. They will also manage activity on each account insuring we meet contract requirements while proving overall direction in the areas of warehousing, inventory control and transportation.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year College or university or two to three years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Project Management Certification within one year.
LANGUAGE SKILLS and COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as rules, instructions, forms, government regulations, and procedure manuals. Ability to write procedure manuals, reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
