Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Product Development Manager to lead our team in formulating, recommending, and directing research and development programs. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in the field and expertise in product development concepts, practices, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide project management leadership to meet business needs.
- Determine the appropriate materials needed for successful initiative completion.
- Research and monitor existing client base and industry developments, identifying potential new product opportunities.
- Apply knowledge of materials and recommend engineering and manufacturing changes to attain design objectives.
- Lead technology transfer to manufacturing.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams on projects.
- Visit customer facilities to discuss/resolve concerns related to IP products or work on new projects/products.
- Leverage innovation and information from packaging and material suppliers.
- Guide the team on projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrates expertise in various product development concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Leads and influences team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.
- At least 10 years of experience in the field.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Complete understanding of Narrow Web Pressure Sensitive division.
- Complete understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs associated with production of flexible packaging and labels.
- Comprehensive background, understanding, and experience with PC and Microsoft Word, Excel.
- ISO experience is a plus.
