Job Description
At Interstate Packaging Company, we are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to lead our product development initiatives.
The successful candidate will formulate and direct research and development programs to meet the company's needs for improving and cost-reducing existing products and processes, as well as introducing new ones.
This role involves providing project management leadership to meet business objectives, determining materials needed for initiative completion, researching client base and industry developments, and applying knowledge of materials to recommend engineering and manufacturing changes.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in the field, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, they should have a complete understanding of Narrow Web Pressure Sensitive division and flexible packaging and labels production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide project management leadership to achieve business objectives.
- Determine the appropriate materials needed for initiative completion.
- Research and monitor client base and industry developments.
- Apply knowledge of materials to recommend engineering and manufacturing changes.
- Lead cross-functional teams on projects.
- Visit customer facilities to discuss/resolve concerns.
- Leverage innovation and information from suppliers.
- Provide guidance to the team on projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, facility food safety, and quality policies.
