Responsibilities for a Truck and Trailer Body Technician :
- Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
- Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
- Repair or replace floor and door panels
- Frame repairs and steering mechanism repairs
- Welding
- Sandblast, prep and sand truck chassis, bodies, trailers, and equipment surface for painting
- Repair and replace all types of aluminum, fiberglass, plastic body parts, adjust, and modify all heavy-duty body components
- Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.
- Adhere to the manufacturer’s policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time, and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs and torque specifications.
- Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management.
Qualifications for a Truck and Trailer Body Technician:
- Must have prior body repair experience
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
- Teammate with a strong sense of dedication to the customer and service team
- Self-motivated and professional
- Must be able to work independently
