Instrumentation & Electrical Manager
Interstate Treating, Inc. is an Odessa-based manufacturer of natural gas/natural gas liquids processing and treating equipment.
Education and Experience
· A degree is preferred in electrical or control systems engineering. Other engineering degrees or substantial equivalent experience will be considered.
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in instrumentation and electrical systems within the midstream. Upstream and refinery experience will also be considered.
· 5 years of proven experience in managing and leading a team of instrumentation and electrical technicians and designers
Job Responsibilities
· Oversight and management of all instrumentation and electrical activities in the engineering and fabrication cycle. The primary emphasis will be on the engineering portion.
· Supervision and daily direction of a team of designers, instrumentation and electrical technicians
· Leadership and technical expertise as it relates to the application of instrumentation and electrical systems for client projects
· Collaboration with other departments, including Purchasing, IT and Engineering, to ensure seamless workflows for the I&E department and balancing with customer timetables
· Working with estimating/quoting group for client proposals
· Out-of-town travel will be required for client start-ups and commissioning
· Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Competencies
· Strong knowledge of automation systems and platforms, including PLC BMS and DCS. MCC experience is also preferred.
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
· Communication and interpersonal skills with audiences that include staff, other company professionals and client representatives
· Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, P&ID’s.
· Create or supervise instrumentation and control system design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations
· Exceptionally skilled in Microsoft Office.
· Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to be covered under company’s auto insurance
· Must pass a physical and UA prior to employment
