IWS is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop innovative strategies to achieve sales goals and develop meaningful connections with our customers, while selling IWS products and services throughout an assigned territory in Northern New Jersey. As an ambassador for the IWS brand, you will reinforce IWS’ value proposition, helping to differentiate IWS from the competition.
IWS offers a clear path for career growth and leadership opportunities, as well as uncapped commissions well above the industry average, with the opportunity to earn $100,000 annually in base salary and commission. The position is based out of our Northern New Jersey sales office and reports to the Northern New Jersey Sales Manager, and offers a company issued cell phone, laptop and iPad, a car allowance and E-ZPass account.
Responsibilities
Drive IWS revenue by developing and managing relationships with customers to understand and fulfill waste and recycling needs
Identify new customers that could benefit from IWS services, while leveraging current customer relationships to drive new business
Present and reinforce IWS value proposition to differentiate IWS from competitive offerings
Manage sales territory by setting a territory plan to effectively achieve revenue targets
Conduct sales in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers
Educate customers on how IWS products and services can benefit their business
Keep customer data related to lead and prospect activity updated within company CRM
Monitor market conditions and competitor activity
Negotiate customer pricing and terms, prepare sales agreements
Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
Be an ambassador for the IWS brand
Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to build and maintain relationships
Additional duties as assigned
Skills/Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 1 year outside sales experience
Strong technical/computer skills, including MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ambitious self-starter with the ability to work comfortably and professionally in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet all deadlines with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business and workgroup needs
Driver’s license required; must be comfortable driving throughout the day
Fluency in English required, bilingual Spanish is a plus
Minimum 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
