What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Specialist - National Traveling position at Interstates Companies?
The Logistic Specialist L3 ensures the flow and inventory control of material and equipment for field installations in a friendly, safe, and efficient manner. A Logistic Specialist L3 needs minimal guidance and supervision from the Logistic Foreman.
Responsibilities
* Arrange for the movement of materials and equipment on and off trailers and other vehicles site equipment to include forklifts
* Ensures the delivery of necessary parts, equipment and other production necessity for field installations are flowing in an efficient manner
* Staging materials and equipment for field installations to include operating power equipment
* Ability to maintain safety standards and working relationships with the team
* Assist in training other Logistic Helpers and Specialist
* Monitor material and equipment inventory and communicate discrepancies
* Perform other routine duties as directed by Logistic Foreman
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma required. Must have previous experience in the construction field and a valid driver's license. Knowledge of material control procedures and or shipping and receiving experience preferred
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: Capable of leading up to two Logistics Helpers and Logistics (L2) Specialist
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Can communicate effectively with other team members to accomplish the goals of each project
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform math skills rapidly and accurately
REASONING ABILITY: Evaluate information using measurable standards. Can read and understand drawings, specifications and schematics
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have the ability to work cooperatively with others. Must follow specific directions. Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure. Work within standards of accuracy
