We are expanding and currently seeking a Business Development Specialist in Kansas or Oklahoma to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing client relationships, setting goals, tracking progress, and promoting sales activity across multiple industries. We are looking for ambitious, innovative individuals who can grow and maintain value-added relationships with both our team and external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, interview, evaluate, and qualify potential clients.
  • Diagnose business and technical challenges faced by prospects.
  • Assist in developing and presenting proposals to clients.
  • Lead efforts to secure signed contracts with clients.
  • Regularly visit clients to assess satisfaction and identify additional needs.
  • Build knowledge, expertise, and a robust client network.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and educational events.
  • Conduct industry research and provide input to help set strategic direction.
  • Establish and communicate our value proposition to customers.
  • Maintain detailed records of meetings, phone calls, and emails to ensure continuity of effort.
  • Keep organized records to facilitate effective planning.
  • Organize and plan sales calls and educational activities for clients and prospects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • 4-year degree in Business, Engineering, or Technology preferred
  • 1 - 2 years' experience selling services
  • Construction Experience is preferred

  • Exceptional customer service skills

 

Travel: Travel will be required up to 50% of the time.
