What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Regional Automation and Design position at Interstates, Inc.?
We are seeking an experienced Director of Regional Automation and Design to lead a new strategy focused on growing Automation within our Regional Office footprint. The Director will be responsible for developing a comprehensive 'Playbook' for our regional automation offices to drive this growth and oversee the creation and delivery of business plans for each regional location.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Regional Electrical Services (RES) leadership to develop business plans for each regional office for industrial automation growth.
- Understand target clients and key offers for each region, identifying top, emerging, and potential new markets.
- Hire, onboard, and develop automation leaders, including Automation Managers, Project Managers, and other support staff.
- Work with regional automation leaders and team leadership to hire necessary delivery resources, such as programmers, engineers, and additional support staff.
- Collaborate with the Director of Automation for project staffing and client pursuits.
- Promote Digital Transformation offerings, including additional Interstates offers, and work with relevant leaders to decide when local resources are required to support these offers
- Work with RES offer category to determine new office locations, balancing growth opportunities for Industrial Automation and Instrumentation (IA&I) with RES objectives.
- Oversee the Regional Design Services within delivery and any future Regional Design Services leaders.
- Collaborate with Design Services market lanes and Design Center to ensure proper staffing for regional projects.
- Work with Design Services leadership to determine when local resources are needed to support Design Services offers.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in project management, with 5 years in a leadership role within the automation or technology sector.
Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead and mentor teams effectively. Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Travel: May travel up to 35% or as needed to meet with project teams and clients.
