As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and transition of new products and process platforms into production. Your expertise in electronics will drive the operation of pilot laboratories, design and fabrication of test equipment, and specification of laboratory gear.
About the Role:
- Develop and integrate new products and process platforms into production with a focus on electronics.
- Operate pilot laboratories, assist in designing and fabricating test equipment, and specify and maintain laboratory equipment.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure compliance with best laboratory practices, including safety and environmental regulations.
- Support all safety programs and initiatives.
- Provide day-to-day electrical support for all R&D equipment.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain pilot process equipment, including HMI, PLC, and VFD programming.
- Create and author reports, memos, and work instructions.
- Design, modify, and optimize systems using CAD and simulation software.
- Evaluate new technology and equipment purchases, make recommendations, and execute plans.
- Conduct safety audits and Process Hazard Analyses (PHA).
- Utilize project management skills to define, plan, schedule, and control tasks.
- Participate in R&D and multi-disciplinary teams, cross-training, and supporting all R&D process technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Innovative problem-solver with excellent communication skills.
- Collaborative leader with experience in project teams.
- Experience with PLC and HMI programming is preferred.
- Two or more years in paper-making, coating, or converting industries is preferred.
- Proven project management leader is preferred.
