Castline Operator - 12HR Day Shift

Position Description

Title: Cast Line Operator

Department: PolyAir

Immediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory Staff

Status: Hourly

Position Purpose: Operates the Cast Line

Shift: 7 AM - 7:15 PM, Monday - Friday until trained and then a 2-2-3, 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule - every other weekend

Pay Range: From $20.05 up to $24.11.

*Cross-Training Compensation program is available for employees. *

Principle Accountabilities

• Responsible for the safe, controlled start-up and operation of the cast line equipment including starting the machine, engaging the feed, observing the operation, and manages changeover process.
• Inspects and measures completed pieces to verify conformity to customer production standards.
• Monitors and adjusts controls to ensure product complies with production standards.
• Supervises and instructs line assistant in all production based tasks.
• Maintains equipment through completion of assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repair techniques as required.
• Records quality and production metrics via written communication methods and within time deadlines, as necessary.
• Performs all work in a safety-first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor

Essential Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 2 Years in a Manufacturing Environment experience required
• Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
• Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
