Position Description

Title: Financial Analyst

Department: Finance

Immediate Supervisor: Group Controller

Status: Exempt

Position Purpose: Owner of continuous plant financial analysis using facts, data, and financial analysis tools to ensure plant profitability is constantly being maximized.

Principle Accountabilities

• Set up and maintain the integrity of cost accounting models.
• Valuation of inventory
• Engage in month-end closing procedures including posting journal entries, providing financial package comments, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Apply cost analysis to new products, forecasts, and budgets.
• Assist with economic calculations for new capital expenditure requests.
• Assistance in the annual budget process.
• Contribute to other duties as needed or assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting or Finance
• CMA preferred, or desire to obtain certification

• Strong understanding of information systems - preferably with AS400, JD Edwards
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
• Capable of managing multiple assignments
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and innovative
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
