Job Description
Professional Service Industries, Inc. in Fairfax, VA seeks a Department Manager - Geotechnical Engineering to support the Building and Construction business by overseeing the Geotechnical projects and mentoring Technicians, Staff, and Project Geotechnical Engineers. Manage geotechnical engineering services, including P & L. Direct and execute geotechnical project assignments including, engineering analysis and report preparation, field exploration and laboratory services. Provide senior review of proposals and reports and ensure that commitments to clients are met. Engage in client relations and business development activities. Mentor and train senior and junior professional staff members. Actively participate in professional and technical organizations.
MINIMUM EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Geotechnical Engineering or a related field of study.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : Five (5) years of experience with project management managing geotechnical projects from start to completion.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT : Up to 15% domestic travel.

- Partial Telecommuting - 1 day per week
