What are the responsibilities and job description for the AOI Inspector (2nd Shift) position at Intervala,LLC?
The work schedule of this position is Monday-Thursday 3:15pm-1:45am.
Job Summary & Essential Functions:
Inspect Printed Circuit Board parts and assemblies to assure compliance to quality requirements and standards.
- Detailed review of Printed Circuit Board components and assemblies to assure compliance to quality requirements and standards
- Perform acceptance activities according to quality plans, procedures, and instructions
- Performs complex inspections as part of acceptance activities
- Defers more complex inspections to engineers or supervisors
- Works without guidance or oversite from other inspectors
- Record results of acceptance and inspection activities by entered data into the MES
- Support activities to address identification and disposition of nonconforming material
- Report quality problems and findings to appropriate personnel
- Provides training, guidance and oversite to less senior inspectors
- Performs measurements and visual examinations in conducting inspections and acceptance activities
- Utilize AOI equipment to assess conformity of PCBAs
- Work with process engineering to reduce false calls on the AOI equipment
- Perform multiple tasks concurrently
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Advanced level in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Advanced level knowledge of ERP and MES systems
- Certification in IPC-610 and J-STD-001
- Ability to apply and use measuring devices including continuity tester, x-ray inspection, magnification device/microscope, eye loop, caliper, micrometer
- Ability to read and interpret job orders, process sheets, specifications, instructions, drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and detailed prints
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a high volume environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments to established goals and deadlines
- Ability to manipulate and work with tedious and small parts
- Strong decision-making skills utilizing sound judgement and thorough processes
Required Experience & Education:
- Associate degree in related technical discipline or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 7 years of relevant job experience
- Previous experience in a PCB manufacturing environment
