Job Summary & Essential Functions
Perform various assembly operations as assigned by the production supervisor.
- Basic set up and operation a variety of equipment, for example: conformal coating, singulation machines, and start to train on wave solder needed to fulfill customer requirements, plus train on ERSA
- Assemble electrical or electromechanical devices or components using a variety of hardware/tools
- Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standard IPC -610 and J-STD for all class levels
- Perform work with minimal supervision and instruction
- Perform minor touch ups on nonconforming solder joints such as: correct insufficient fill and remove solder bridges
- Minor repair or replacement of through-hole components as needed
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to use tools and testing devices
- Basic math computational and measurement skills
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
- Ability to work in a high volume, high detail work environment
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
- Ability to manipulate and work with tedious and small parts
- Ability to problem solve issues involving multiple variables and limited standardization
Required Experience & Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience required or proven progressive experience in machine operation
- Certification in IPC -610 and J-STD
