Planner

Job Summary & Essential Functions

Provide production support through executing kits of material, monitoring material shortages, and requesting shop floor packets.   Interface with all departments regarding problems or status related to sales orders, as required.

• Enter work orders in MRP system for each manufacturing sales order
• Create and maintain files related to each sales release until order closed
• May assign and archive serial numbers for each assembly requiring serialization at some facilities
• Initiate shop floor packets for each work order
• Coordinate with production and other departments regarding material shortages and or other problems affecting meeting customer requirements
• Modify and adapt production schedules and issue changes to accommodate revisions, cancellations, and other priorities
• Update various production status reports
• Perform other assignments as required  

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Intermediate level computer proficiency
• Ability to maintain accurate records and files

Required Experience & Education 

• High School diploma required; associate’s degree preferred
• 2-4 years related experience required
