What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Cath Lab RN position at Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Consultants?
The individual will serve as a contributing member in our pre-/post-procedural area outpatient on Wednesdays. This is office-based State-of-the-art cardiac Cath Lab facility. This may also entail circulating in the cath lab.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsibilities include supporting the Registered Nurse in preparing patients for their procedure, providing nursing care during recovery, and discharging patients once criteria is met. The ideal candidate will have strong IV skills, a sound understanding of post-procedural complications, ability to interpret cardiac rhythms, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-based approach to providing patient care.
Qualifications and Skills
Licensure/Certification:
Required – Florida licensed RN
Required – BLS and ACLS certification
Experience:
Required – a minimum two years of professional nursing experience
Preferred – a minimum of one year of cardiac or CCU or post-surgical or Cardiac PCU
Preferred – previous experience in a catheterization laboratory recovery area
Work Hours/Shift:
Part-Time/Contract, Wednesday (6am onwards depending on schedule load) minimum 8 hours.
