Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Customer Service Representative to join our medical office team. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and provide information about services and office policies.
- Verify patient information, process registrations, and update electronic medical records.
- Assist with insurance verification, billing inquiries, and payment processing.
- Handle patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate personnel as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and office operations.
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and faxing documents.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
- Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service role preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and HIPAA regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including electronic medical records (EMR) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain professional and calm under pressure.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus.
