What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Design Engineer position at Interwest Consulting Group?
- Experience ranging from roadway, drainage, utility design, and land development experience.
- The position requires design, technical knowledge, and ability in applying principles of engineering.
- Preparation and review of engineering design plans and specifications.
- Responsible for the quality of civil engineering work performed, client service, reputation of the office, contract management, billing collection, and project profitability for roadway, utility, and land use engineering and other projects.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of engineering projects to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
- Ability to work across various disciplines to produce complete projects as scoped.
- Oversees work involving the preparation of design using local (State, County or City) standards at both conceptual and final design levels.
- Initiates and reviews proposals.
- Maintains positive relationships with current and past clients as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned
- California Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in municipal civil engineering with progressive project management experience is a plus.
- Experience with Civil3D is required.
- Experienced and promoter of quality methods
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skill
COMPENSATION: SAFEbuilt pays competitive wages and has a strong benefit package.
Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
