What You’ll Do:

As a Broker, you’ll be at the center of everything we do—helping clients find the best solutions, building lasting relationships, and making a real difference in people’s lives. Here's what you'll be responsible for:

  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Building: You'll identify new business opportunities, win new accounts, and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients. Building rapport and trust with clients will be key to your success.
  • Provide Expert Insurance Solutions: Understand your clients’ unique needs and tailor insurance solutions that offer them the best protection. Your role will be to deliver peace of mind by finding the right coverage for each client.
  • Prospecting & Networking: Using a variety of innovative marketing, business development strategies, including cold calling, networking, and referrals, you will build a strong pipeline of prospects and maintain a healthy book of business.
  • Risk Management & Consulting: Help clients assess their risks and provide expert advice on how to reduce their exposure. Your insights will help them protect their future.
  • Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Account Management and other departments to deliver top-notch service, from timely communication to policy renewals, all while maintaining strong, professional relationships with insurance carriers.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A high school diploma is required. While a degree in Insurance & Risk Management, Marketing, Finance, or Economics is a plus, we’re more focused on your drive and determination to succeed and your willingness to learn.
  • Licensing: A Property & Casualty Broker-Agent License and/or Life & Health Broker-Agent License is required. If you don’t have one yet, don’t worry—we’ll help you obtain it!
  • Requirements: 2 years’ of successful sales experience, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to comply with InterWest Insurance Services Auto Usage Policy.
  • Nice to have but not required: Experience selling a service or product in the following industries:
  • Agriculture
  • Construction
  • Social Services / Human Services
  • Financial Services
  • Sports / Outdoor Recreation

The starting base compensation for this full-time position ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 annually PLUS earned commissions.

Compensation for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and geographical location. The hiring range represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
