We are actively recruiting for an Account Manager to join the InterWest team in our Personal Lines Department! The Personal Lines Account Manager provides problem-solving, strategic, and consultative skills and advanced account management support on a book of business. The position partners with Producer(s) to develop creative strategies and solutions for client retention and growth.
This position can be based in our Chico, Roseville, Sacramento, San Leandro, or Woodland offices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Producer, market, service, develop and retain assigned accounts.
- Maintain consistent and continuous consultative communication directly with assigned clients, including task related to new business set up and applications.
- Prepare, with little or no direction, renewals and marketing efforts.
- Assist Producer in preparing proposals and recommendation of other lines of coverage for the client, as needed.
- Engage in service processes to successfully support the client by establishing best practices and exceeding the service expectations of clients in accordance with the Personal Lines Standards and workflows.
- Use discretion, independent and advanced logic and make judgements under only general supervision.
- Gather information from and meet with clients as necessary to provide service and round out accounts as needed.
- Understand the extent and terms of the coverage offered, especially when working with excess and surplus lines markets.
- Serve as subject matter advisor to help resolve service problems.
- Maintain current and accurate client files, applications, and activities in the Agency Management System.
- Maintain timeliness and completeness of work when interacting with clients, agency, and carrier personnel to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims.
- Attend company sponsored seminars and educational activities necessary to maintain product knowledge.
- Maintain required continuing education annually to ensure renewal of Property and Casualty Broker-Agent License and education requirements to secure advanced designations such as CISR and/or CIC.
Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: At least 1 year experience in Personal Lines Insurance required.
License: Must have and maintain current Property and Casualty Broker-Agent License.
The estimated starting compensation range for this full-time position is $52,500 – $60,000 annually, plus benefits.
Compensation for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and geographical location. The hiring range represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
