What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extrusion Press Operator (Midnights) Garden City position at Intex?
Shift Time: Midnights- (11pm-7am) Monday-Saturday
Thor Extrusion Press Operator
Review schedule and print work orders.
Verify that dies and temperature(s) used in the die oven are correct.
Operates press and log furnace.
Check the dimensions of extrusions with measuring tools and document findings.
Stretches extrusions, as needed.
Enters production data in Epics.
Perform all additional duties assigned by department supervisor/manager.
Position may require sitting, walking, standing, bending, stretching, kneeling, reaching (including over the head), lifting, and other movements (not specified) for long periods of time
Attend and complete any Company or outsourced trainings, as assigned
Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
Must wear PPE required for this position (i.e: safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, gloves, etc.).
This position requires: punctuality and excellent attendance, with physical ability to perform duties assigned including but not limited to extensive standing/walking, extensive bending/kneeling/squatting, continuous lifting up to 75 pounds from floor to average waist-high platform, use of various hand tools and instruments, and extreme temperatures.
Requirements
1 years of extrusion press experience (preferred).
Working experience in a manufacturing facility.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must have excellent attendance and work ethic.
Commute to multiple company facilities and personnel, as needed.
Engages in self-learning keeping up with industry trends, safety, and company information, as needed.
