We're looking for a Technical Writer, Level 3 to join our team in Columbia, MD. You will act as a Senior Technical Writer responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of operational doctrine documents including management directives, guidance documents, implementation plans, and standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain operational documentation using tools such as Microsoft Word,
- PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to gather technical information and ensure
- document content is accurate.
- Organize document content for readability, with a focus on the intended audience.
- Write/edit content, then publish and distribute final product.
- Maintain documentation library using existing configuration management processes.
Skills Requirements:
- TS/SCI w/ Polygraph is required
- Strong editing and proofreading skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to gather technical information and requirements.
- Strong experience with Atlassian Confluence.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint.
- Experience with programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Customer-service mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a
- team.
