Title: Training Supervisor - Associate
Department/Office: Latin America and Caribbean (LAC)
Reports to: Education Senior Manager
Overall Responsibilities:
Implement the different educational programs for members and non-members in the region in a timely manner, follow up on the calendar of educational virtual and in person events, compile the information and presentations for each session as needed, and support to the logistical and educational needs before, during and after the event.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow up on the annual educational virtual and in person events program for its implementation.
- Configure the platforms for virtual educational events and ensure a proper execution.
- Carry out the necessary rehearsals and tests with the speakers to ensure the knowledge of the virtual education platform or applications.
- Actively seek out new speakers, maintain excellent communication with them, track and manage speakers’ information such as agreements, bios, and photos.
- Review PPT presentations and any documents produced by speakers for compliance with IAAPA’s templates, and IAAPA style guide and brand.
- Assist on the implementation of educational sessions, face-to-face or virtual, participating as a moderator as needed.
- Collaborate with the logistics of implemented educational events such as AV needs, be aware of possible technical issues, adjust time schedule.
- Create documents and/or infographics to deliver to attendees, before, during, or after the education programs as requested, and create new ones to recycle past content
- Set and upload the satisfaction surveys on the appropriate platforms, collaborating with the regional and global teams to align and standardized the surveys.
- Compile the survey data for each survey carried out at the end of the educational and connection events programs.
- Upload and implement knowledge assessments, diagnostic evaluations or another polls to the designated platforms as needed.
- Prepare statistical reports on educational events to provide information that facilitates decision-making.
- Periodically review the publications of educational events in the region (web page and social media), to maintain updated and correct if needed.
- Support identifying industry and members’ training needs.
- Solve member and non-member inquiries regarding the training programming, events, and global educational offer.
- Collaborate with the regional office team to achieve the regional goals.
- Provide guidance and support during the IAAPA certification process to those who request it.
- Comply with training management indicators.
IAAPA Expo
Pre-Event
- Assist with registration details for speakers.
- Support the Education Subcommittee, the Education Director and the Brazil office Manager in the planning for IAAPA Expo Education: Latin America and Caribbean Lunch and Learn, Brazilian Breakfast, interpreted sessions and others as needed.
- Liaise with the global education and communications team and with the Membership marketing manager to ensure the Latin America and Caribbean Education programing and translated sessions are accurate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required or the equivalent work experience.
- Experience with the attractions and/or association/non-profit industry preferred.
- 2 or more years of experience in education development or HHRR administration preferred.
- Educational program planning experience.
- Experience conducting and implementing online and face to face educational events.
- Manage and setting online educational application, LMS preferred.
- Goal oriented and customer service skills.
- In depth knowledge in various software tools (Office, Survey apps, LMS platform, Zoom, Online learning apps).
- Bilingual – Spanish, English, Portuguese is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to travel 10% domestic or internationally.

Working in the office is required. Limited telecommuting opportunities may be available for this position after six months of service.
