As the Director of Fraud & Risk, you will define and execute the strategy for fraud and risk solutions at WebPurify, a global leader in customer experience and business process outsourcing. WebPurify specializes in AI-driven solutions, content moderation, fraud prevention, and Trust & Safety services for some of the world’s most recognized brands. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert, advising internal teams and clients on fraud prevention, risk mitigation, and forward-looking growth opportunities. This role blends strategic leadership, client engagement, consulting, business development, and thought leadership to strengthen our Trust & Safety practice. Note: This is a US-remote, independent contributor position and reports to our Vice President of Trust & Safety.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and drive the vision for fraud and risk solutions, identifying market opportunities, agent operations efficiencies, and technical capabilities.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the go-to expert for fraud and risk, providing strategic guidance internally and externally on practical fraud prevention strategies.
- Business Development: Leverage your expertise to drive new client engagements and expand existing relationships, strengthening our fraud and risk services.
- Consultancy Expansion: Grow fraud and risk initiatives within the Trust & Safety consultancy, managing projects from proposal to execution.
- Industry Influence: Enhance WebPurify’s global presence through networking, thought leadership, and speaking engagements.
- Operational Excellence: Collaborate with our moderation team to develop and refine fraud prevention processes, ensuring measurable success against KPIs.
- Thought Leadership: Work closely with Marketing to develop fraud and risk content, positioning WebPurify as a leader in the space.
- Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of industry trends, tools, and techniques in fraud prevention, content moderation, and risk management while educating internal teams.
- 10 years of proven experience in fraud prevention, risk management, or Trust & Safety, preferably within a tech, marketplace, or customer support environment.
- Deep understanding of fraud trends, risk assessment methodologies, and emerging technologies in fraud detection.
- Strong business development acumen with a track record of growing client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex fraud and risk concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with moderation, marketing, technical, and operations teams.
- Public speaking or industry engagement experience is a plus.
- Competitive salary ranges from $150,000 - $200,000 (dependent on experience, certifications, and portfolio)
