Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Execution:
- Lead and manage multiple complex programs from sales inception through final customer delivery
- Oversee program schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring adherence to contract requirements
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to a team of Program Managers to drive successful project execution
- Ensure programs are executed efficiently while maintaining quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals
- Develop and maintain financial controls, ensuring programs operate within their allocated budgets
- Track and report costs, revenue forecasts, and program profitability, making recommendations to optimize financial performance
- Implement schedule controls to ensure timely completion of contract deliverables and resource alignment with evolving requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, representing the organization in all program-related interactions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers, ensuring alignment on expectations and program objectives
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities, providing customers with timely program updates, reports, and contractual submittals
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth program execution
- Work closely with Contracts and Sales teams to negotiate program requirements, changes, and deliverables
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing process enhancements for efficiency and program success
- Maintain a thorough understanding of engineering concepts, fluid control components, and manufacturing processes to manage technical programs effectively
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance practices, industry regulations, and contractual obligations
- Apply business, accounting, and contract management expertise to drive program profitability and efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent engineering discipline required
- 8 years of experience managing complex programs within aerospace, defense, or a related high-tech industry
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue forecasting
- Demonstrated success in customer relationship management and program leadership
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and working in a fast-paced, highly technical environment
- MBA or MS in Engineering or Business is preferred but not required
- Experience with government contracts, DoD programs, and aerospace manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, risk management, and compliance regulations
