The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional teams comprising Design Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Test Engineers, Planners / Buyers, and Quality Assurance Specialists. This role oversees the internal lifecycle of new product development (NPI) from prototype design through Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) and qualification. Candidates should have technical expertise in engineering design, manufacturing, or testing, combined with project management or supply chain management proficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define project scope, create timelines, estimate resource requirements, and allocate resources effectively.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation plans, and establish success metrics for project evaluation.
- Assign and manage team resources across various functional areas.
- Monitor progress, make necessary adjustments, and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
- Maintain organized project documentation and communication schedules to update stakeholders.
