This is a full-time, on-site hybrid position in New York City; M-F from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Salary Range: $84,800 to $114,300annual.

Who we are looking for:

The Merchandising Manager will partner with the Design team on product line direction for Private Label and Branded product. Will also bring customer and market prospective to the design and product development process. The Merchandising Manager will act as a liaison with Sales, Sourcing, Production teams and retail customers on the development process.

What you will do:

  • Guide design on brand appropriate trends and big ideas, elevate, innovate and be competitive; Be an expert in the area of business
  • Stay informed of market trends, competitive analysis, and emerging market opportunities to adjust the product strategy accordingly and integrate into seasonal assortments
  • Ensure the product assortment is consistent with brand identity, target audience preferences and seasonal trends
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of merchandising efforts and implement improvements where necessary
  • Forecast and create seasonal line lists; partner with Design, Sourcing and Fabric Manager on fabric development
  • Conduct regular market trips to collect seasonal trend and competitor data to share with Design, Management, and Retail partners
  • Create competitive analysis reports and present findings in market meetings
  • Analyze retail sales with design team to identify opportunities
  • Collaborate with Design, Technical, Sourcing, and Production on all stages of product development
  • Lead and manage product handovers with Sourcing, Production, Technical, Sales and Design
  • Manage seasonal calendar adherence for deliverables and cross functional critical deadlines
  • Collaborate with Design on market presentation set ups
  • Identify product opportunities for ecomm to grow the business
  • Partner with Sales in creating and monitoring online content and imagery
  • Monitor online customer reviews and react to any opportunities for product improvement
  • Lead contact for Licensor product approvals and marketing needs.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor of Arts,Science orFine Arts
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in product management and merchandising
  • Knowledge of apparel design, fabrics and product development
  • Experience for mid-tier and mass is a plus
  • Vertical manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office and Acrobat Pro.Illustrator knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of textiles and PLM systems is a plus
