What are the responsibilities and job description for the User Experience (UX) Designer position at Intralox?
Intralox is hiring a User Experience (UX) Designer to collaborate with product teams on our public websites, customer tools, and internal applications. As a member of the Website Team within the Marketing Department, you will be responsible for the look and feel of the enterprise design system, website, and custom applications. Additionally, you will embed with other product teams to help with research, prototyping, and visual design of new features.
Types of projects you may work on
Proactively research and recommend design improvements to the website based on analytics, research, and experience
Collaborate with marketing strategists, copywriters, and the web team to design custom landing webpages and microsites, balancing marketing goals with user needs
Work with other product teams to understand their applications and users to research, prototype, and provide designs for new features
Contribute to and maintain a library of Figma components to create a cohesive design system that scales across multiple websites and applications
Collaborate with external vendors (as needed) by providing feedback and advice to ensure digital products and applications maintain a consistent customer experience
Responsibilities
Work with product teams to gain familiarity with applications and their requirements
Lead teams through all aspects of the design process, from discovery and definition through delivery and iteration
Create prototypes to communicate ideas and test concepts
Design high-quality interfaces that balance function, aesthetics, and usability
Collaborate with marketing strategists, copywriters, and the web team to design custom landing webpages and microsites, balancing marketing goals with user needs
Create and maintain a comprehensive, cohesive design system with components that scale across multiple websites and applications
Collaborate with other teams, vendors, and contractors when needed, providing feedback and advice to ensure digital products and applications maintain a consistent customer experience
Clearly communicate recommendations and build alignment on product strategy, design, functionality, and usability
Conduct user research to understand user needs and behaviors
Plan and conduct usability testing sessions and analyze the results to inform design decisions
Use analytics and user feedback to drive design improvements
Requirements
Online portfolio or other example work you can share with us
Design degree with a focus on UI / UX or equivalent professional experience
5 years of professional experience websites, applications, or other digital experiences
Expert Figma user with ability to :
Create and maintain a design system with components that can be used by other teams
Create interactive flows that demonstrate how a user will interact with interfaces
Familiarity with possibilities and limitations of web applications
Understanding of web accessibility guidelines and how to test designs for compliance
Ability to think critically and solve complex design problems
Ability to clearly articulate and defend the vision and reasoning behind design and usability choices
Ability to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders of varying technical and design skill levels
