What are the responsibilities and job description for the CUSTODIAL CREW MEMBER position at Intrepid Staffing Services Llc?
JOB PURPOSE: The Custodial Staff is directly responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment for clients, staff, and volunteers by performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties. Keeps the shelter in clean and orderly condition.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
Service, clean, and supply restrooms and showers
Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions
Train shelter clients in proper upkeep and cleaning of dining area and sleeping area
Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
Gather and empty trash
Perform routine maintenance activities
Sanitization of heavy traffic areas throughout the day
Stock and maintain supply rooms
Follow all health and safety regulations
Report routine observations of residential and public areas to supervisory staff including conditions that may affect the safety and/or security of clients, residents, staff, or volunteers
Assist with grounds and landscaping of facility
Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required
EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of 1 (one) year experience in a shelter setting. Must include experience in working with immigration populations, child welfare and vulnerable populations.
ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employers sole discretion.
LICENSES: Drivers License with clear record.
VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
