What to Expect:
This role provides significant support to the Director of Operations in adhering to company environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. This role is responsible for promoting and enforcing of the corporate Health and Safety Program and providing safety support to staff. The position requires the ability to work collaboratively with field operations to support a safe work environment for Team Members while using independent judgment to resolve safety related issues.
What You’ll Do:
Including but not limited to the following:
- Identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using EH&S standards and best management practices.
- Execute environmental health and safety policies and procedures and enforce compliance with Business Unit and company requirements.
- Collaborate with Director of Operations to develop goals. Implement proactive programs to reduce overall incident rates and claims cost.
- Implement and manage Risk Management programs. Provide data analysis to senior leadership, with the recommended corrective actions to be taken.
- Investigate, report and review claims.
- Build working relationships with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies.
- Recommend appropriate staffing and staff development needs based on the assessment of talent. Evaluate need for and recommend training throughout the factory.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- 3-7 years of field safety experience in manufacturing or related field
- Knowledge of general manufacturing safety and health regulations, including OSHA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with various organizational levels
- Self-motivated, dedicated and hard working
- Above average organizational skills
