We are looking for an IBCS Software Engineer Product Owner to join our team to support the IFMC AMD Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with a focus on Mission Command systems.
The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement (ENG) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office.

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Engagement (ENG) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office.
Your Day-to-day Work Will Include
- Reviewing/understanding systems engineering concepts/designs/algorithms.
- Working with Program Management to set priorities for new capabilities and defects.
- Providing guidance to the engineering team for each Program Increment (PI) and Sprint.
- Supporting the team in the development of acceptance criteria for Engineer tasks and stories, as well as being responsible for the verification of work performed by the Engineer team.
- Technical briefings, demonstrations, and advisement to leadership.
- Report on status; recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be a US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
- Possess an active (as well as maintain) US SECRET security clearance.
- A Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics
- Good understanding of concepts such as threat evaluation, engagement plan generation, execution/monitoring of engagements, and performing kill assessment utilizing adapted ASoS components (Sensor, Launcher, Uplinker, IFF device).
- Work directly with the Agile software developers to meet deadlines and program objectives.
- Fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset.
- Minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
- Knowledge of IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
- The ability to “move out” and champion your ideas, architectures, designs, enthusiasm; independent critical thinking; and a team attitude are very important.
- Experience in JIRA/Confluence.
- Security and Linux experience are also desired.
- Possessing an Agilist Certification is an additional plus

Estimated Salary Range
- Intermediate: $120,000-$135,000
- Senior: $140,000-$170,000
