Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician in the Marine Industry must have knowledge in basic electricity, plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, air compressors, building maintenance and repair all within a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Will be expected to perform minor and basic electrical, plumbing, painting functions related to required repairs.
• Respond to unplanned mechanical issues to maintain production and safety.
• Ability to track and perform scheduled maintenance as required.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas as required.
• Ability to work well with all levels of personnel and managers to assist with required work and repairs as requested.
• May be required to coordinate or oversee contracted facility repairs and maintenance.
• Safely operates fork lift as required.
• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• May clean restrooms, offices, and employee areas when needed.
• May operate fork lift trucks as needed in other related duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant technical certification or degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in marine maintenance, with a strong understanding of marine equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the marine industry.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic marine environment.
Physical Demands:

- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: and talk and hear.

- Will exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a regular basis.
- May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
