What are the responsibilities and job description for the MS Power Platform Developer position at Intrepid?

We are seeking an MS Power Platform Developer with experience in Power Platform development and SharePoint administration to join our team in supporting the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Resources Management & Policy (HRM&P).
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Apps, BI)
- Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work directly with ASD(HA) HRM&P stakeholders and end-users to elicit business process needs and document system or automation requirements.
- Translate business and functional needs into clear technical specifications for development.
- Support the Program Manager by clearly communicating requirement statuses, technical risks, timelines, and dependencies.
- Power Automate
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Power Automate flows to automate manual tasks, improve business process efficiency, and enable cross-platform integration.
- Monitor and maintain workflow performance and resolve flow errors promptly.
- Document workflows, update change logs, and guide users on automation outcomes.
- Power Apps
- Design and build user-friendly, responsive Power Apps for process tracking, data collection, and internal task management.
- Integrate apps with data sources such as SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, or Dataverse.
- Conduct testing and user feedback sessions, incorporating improvements based on input and performance analysis.
- Power BI (as needed)
- Create and maintain dashboards using PowerBI to visualize key metrics and trends relevant to HRM&P operations.
- Pull and clean data from SharePoint and other available sources to support reporting needs.
- Ensure dashboards are aligned with stakeholder needs and present data in a digestible, intuitive format.
- Power Automate
- Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement
- SharePoint Administration
- Manage the ASD(HA) HRM&P GFEBS SharePoint sites (12 sites) for all sites/pages, content, and structure, and groups.
- Administer site permissions and access controls through security groups and user-level access settings.
- Update/modernize SharePoint sites/pages.
- Provide support for break/fix issues, user assistance, and SharePoint navigation challenges.
- Communication and Program Support
- Provide clear, timely updates and briefings to the Program Manager regarding development progress, challenges, and planned releases.
- Translate technical concepts into non-technical language for leadership audiences.
- Collaborate with other team members (e.g., data analysts, SharePoint users, external partners) to ensure solutions are aligned with mission requirements.
- Documentation and Governance
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on all developed solutions, including user guides, architecture diagrams, version histories, and SOPs.
- Other duties as assigned.
At a minimum you should have:
- An active SECRET security clearance and the ability to maintain.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience and a Masters degree. Additional years of relevant experience with only a Bachelors degree will also be considered.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools (Apps, Automate, BI).
- Strong command of programming languages including JSON.
- Experience in managing records, content, and data in SharePoint and Army 365.
- Experience with Microsoft tools including MS Teams, Excel, SharePoint, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and employ critical thinking within teams and with government stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience providing support to DoD/Army and experience working with and reporting to DoD government leadership.

Estimated Salary Range: $179,000-$225,000
The provided salary range serves as a broad reference. However, Intrepid takes various factors into account when establishing base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and prevailing market conditions.
