Our client is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant.
Responsibilities:
• Review and approve month-end Fund and special purpose vehicle (SPV) NAV reporting from third-party administrator
• Review and approve Fund investor allocations, contribution and withdrawal activity, management and incentive fee calculations, and investor capital statements.
• Assist with the annual financial statements audits for Funds and SPVs, including managing auditor requests and review of financial statements prepared by the third-party administrator
• Assist the tax function with review of K-1s and other tax reporting
• Provide coaching to junior team members
• Identify and implement process improvements across the accounting function, including enhancing the use of technology and streamlining existing processes
• Proactively initiate and participate in the execution of ad hoc projects to support the accounting function
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2 or more years of professional public/private industry experience in the asset management or similar industry
• Experience at Big 4 or national CPA firm strongly preferred
• CPA preferred
• Proficiency in Excel required
• Familiarity with data processing and analytical tools
Compensation:
Base salary to 115k with target bonus of 15%
