POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Technician II supports Quality Assurance, Development, and Production teams to ensure part and process qualifications are conducted per plan, approved methods, and Production has necessary QA support. Responsible for measurement data collection and analysis is performed per Intricon’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure parts meet specification. Quality Technician II may validate existing or newly developed part manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment and verify all are compliant per Intricon’s QMS, with little to no guidance from Quality and/or Manufacturing Engineering.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures product is manufactured in accordance to qualified process(es). *
- Audits processes to ensure continuous conformance to documented processes. *
- Reads part prints/specifications to develop and coordinate inspection programs with QE for gage R&R and in-process inspection. *
- Designs holding fixtures for part inspection programs for use in GR&R studies (for Production); plans program and executes GR&R studies. *
- Authors and trains Operators to inspection work instructions and workmanship standards; ensures these instructions comply with current QMS practices and customer requirements. *
- Performs measurement activities (including but not limited to First Article Inspection Reports, DOE/OQ/PQ measurements) of parts to qualify new tools, processes, equipment, or other changes. *
- Identifies part nonconformances or outliers and coordinates with the Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Press Technicians to identify root cause(s) and , make corrections. *
- Coordinates with the Manufacturing and Quality Engineer(s) to select appropriate measurement techniques and dimensions for programs used in DOE and GR&R studies. *
- Maintains calibrations for measurement equipment (i.e. calibrates hand tools, works with 3 party vendors to schedule updates/calibrations/preventive maintenance/repairs) if applicable.
- Updates qualified programs to continuously improve efficiencies and accuracies while maintaining adherence to the Quality Management System.
- Aids in Production Inspection and other responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School or GED.
- Vocational/Technical 2-year degree preferred.
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years equivalent experience in similar industry.
- Ability to use hand-held measurement equipment.
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to write and run inspection programs for measurement equipment.
- Interpret part prints (dimensions and GD&T).
- Working knowledge of CAD, SolidWorks, 3D printing is a plus.
- Motivated and uses problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Working-knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, QC-Calc, Minitab, SharePoint.
- High attention to detail.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; applies continuous improvement techniques to promote quality; monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Sincere work ethic for adhering to standards, policies, and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
While performing duties of this Job, employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. Employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and or operations of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

The anticipated base pay for this position is: $24.00 - $28.00
Intricon is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. This listed range is based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, education, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity.
