Title: Technical Writer V (Hardware Technical Writer)
Location: Cupertino, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months
We are seeking an experienced technical writer for a 6 month contract to work in a cross-functional team on a hardware industry standard speciation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a public-facing document and collaborate with engineers and other technology companies. If you have a deep interest in the hardware behind cutting-edge consumer products, join us as we get ready for future product releases.
Responsibilities
- Edit and re-write existing standards documents for brevity and clarity
- Attend regular meetings with SMEs
- Initiate and conduct document reviews for accuracy and adherence to style guides
- Manage deliverables and deadlines
Qualifications
- BS/MS in engineering (electronics or CS) with at least 10 years of work experience
- Proficiency with English grammar and punctuation
- Strong writing skills
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and self-driven
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and to manage workload efficient
- Extensive experience with MSWord and applying Industry style guides
Preferred
- Experience writing for public standards and regulatory bodies
- Design experience with hardware interfaces
