Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer to join our team in a dynamic distribution center environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to materials handling, order picking, and warehouse operations. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to operate warehouse management systems effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform materials handling duties including loading and unloading packages.
- Utilize RF scanners for accurate inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
- Execute order picking tasks efficiently, ensuring accuracy in selecting items for shipment.
- Maintain organization within the warehouse by adhering to designated storage protocols.
- Assist with heavy lifting of packages, ensuring safety standards are met during all operations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Operate AS400 systems for inventory management and reporting as needed.
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills in warehouse management systems and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a distribution center or similar warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with materials handling processes and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Experience with order picking and package handling using RF scanners is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks performed.
- Willingness to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
